What is HPTET
HPTET is Himachal tet, the Himachal Teacher Eligibility Test a test one must qualify to become a teacher in Himachal Pradesh. HP TET is required for Himachal Pradesh govt school jobs. In Private Schools it is CTET or HPTET as decided by the school Management.
Generally CBSE affiliated schools require CTET qualified candidates whereas HP Board of School Education affiliated Schools teacher need to have HPTET certificate.

HP TET shall apply to :-
(i) a school established owned or controlled by the State Government or a local authority.
(ii) an aided school receiving aid or grants to meet whole or part of Its expenses from the State Government or the local authority.
(iii) an unaided school not receiving any kind of aid or grants to meet its expenses from the state Government or the local authority may consider either the TET conducted by the State Government or the TET conducted by the Central Government.
