A video making rounds on Instagram shows a bohemian artist making flower toasts, giving viewers a visual treat. The artist (foxytrash) begins by taking a slice of bread, removing the crust, and flattening it with a rolling pin. Using a heart-shaped cutter, the artist cuts out heart-shaped pieces of bread and creates leaf shapes with scissors. She then rolls a heart-shaped piece into a round shape and overlays it with another heart-shaped piece, repeating this process layer upon layer to form a rose-like shape. The artist attaches the rose to a new slice of bread, adds leaves, and uses a knife to create branch-like patterns on the bread. After assembling everything onto a fresh slice of bread, she applies butter and toasts the creation in an oven, finishing it off with a layer of jam. The result is a visually stunning flower toast, ready to be served. The caption read, “Flower toast. A delicious and cute idea for your next breakfast. I baked the toast in the oven, not in a toaster.”

5 Essential Diet Hacks To Survive The Scorching Heatwave Of 2024
The month of April has just started, and we can already feel our bodies resisting the searing heat outside. Even the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a heatwave hitting several parts of India between April and June. This means there is an increasing risk of nausea, dehydration, skin problems, and even heatstroke during this time. And that is exactly where your diet comes to the rescue. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India (GOI), some basic modifications in the existing diet may help you go a long way against the odds of summer. In fact, a little precaution goes a long way in keeping heat-related illnesses at bay, states the Health Ministry of India. In this article, we will take you through five such essential diet tips that may help protect against the heatwave. Read on.
Heatwave 2024: What Is The Best Way To Beat The Extreme Heat In Summer? As per consultant nutritionist Rupali Datta, our body is made of 60 to 75% water, meaning we need to compensate for the rest of it through foods and drinks. But during summer, our body loses water more than usual. Hence, the expert states, Staying hydrated is possibly the best way to beat the heatwave during summer. Let s take you through some of the easiest ways to stay well-hydrated during summer.

Here Are 5 Diet Tips To Prevent The Dry Spell Of Summer:1. Add more water to your regime:The heatwave casts a dry spell on the weather and your body, leading to dehydration and disruption in body temperature. Hence, Rupali Datta suggests adding more water to your regime to compensate for the water loss and prevent dehydration. Remember, just a 4% water loss can lead to dehydration, and at 15%, it can be fatal, she adds.
2. Include more seasonal foods in your diet:Usually, experts suggest adding enough protein and fibre to your diet to maintain a healthy body. But during this time of the year, it is advised to avoid such foods as they take time to get digested. In fact, the Health Ministry recommends opting for seasonal foods, plant-based foods, and fresh vegetables during the summer season to promote healthy digestion and avoid gut problems, indigestion, dehydration, etc.
3. Carry cooling foods and drinks while stepping out:We agree the extreme summer heat can be unbearable, but that can t be an excuse to avoid stepping out for work. Hence, it gets yet more important to keep a check on what you carry along to maintain a healthy regime throughout the day. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the heat in the air leads to the rapid growth of bacteria, leading to the increasing risks of food contamination and foodborne illnesses. Hence, experts suggest carrying light and cool foods, whole fruits, and citrus drinks to keep them fresh for long. These foods and drinks also help maintain your body temperature in the extreme heat.

4. Replace hot caffeinated drinks with homemade coolers:According to Rupali Datta, caffeinated drinks like coffee and tea are diuretic, which means they may lead to extreme fluid loss in the body, aggravating the risks of dehydration. She further suggests that while 250mg of coffee or tea consumption is accepted during the summers, the rest of it should be compensated with cooling drinks like nimbu paani, chaas, aam panna, etc., for electrolyte balance in the body.
5. Swear by freshly cooked meals:As mentioned earlier, the risks of food contamination increase during the summer season. Hence, Bangalore-based nutritionist Dr Anju Sood suggests eating freshly cooked meals every day to avoid the risks of foodborne illnesses. She further suggests, If you are packing your meal, then bring the food to room temperature and then pack it in insulated containers to keep it fresh for long.
Besides the dietary modifications, the Health Ministry suggests staying indoors during the afternoon and avoiding stepping out barefoot to prevent heat-related illnesses as much as possible. Stay healthy and enjoy a happy summer!

4 Easy Ways To Reheat Pizza To Its Piping Hot Perfection
There are two types of people – one who prefers their pizzas hot and another who likes it cold. I will not lie but I fall in the latter. Cold pizza has its own charm. The flavours and even the cheese are more intact when the pizza s cold. However, have you ever had a time when you reheated food to perfection that it tasted better than the night before? We often struggle with reheating leftover pizza at home because it becomes soggy and tasteless. Cold pizza makes for an amazing breakfast but it can certainly not beat the charm and flavours of the hot one. After experimenting with a few gadgets, I have figured out some tricks to easily reheat pizza at home. And no, it is not limited to microwaves! Intrigued? Read on to learn 4 ways to reheat pizza to perfection!

How To Reheat Pizza On Gas StoveThis hack is for people who don t have many kitchen gadgets or just want to test their skills on a gas stove. Cold pizza can easily be reheated on a gas stove but requires vigilance.
Take a non-stick pan and put it on a medium flame.
Add your pizza onto the hot pan surface. Let it heat up until the bottom looks crispy.
Sprinkle a few droplets of water and cover the pan with a lid to trap heat and moisture. This would ensure even heating.
Once the cheese is nice and gooey, remove it from the flame and serve!
A microwave is one of the most versatile kitchen gadgets used to reheat food anytime. But it can also make your food soggy and tasteless. To prevent your pizza from losing its crispiness, follow these steps every time to reheat it in a microwave.
Place your pizza on the microwave-safe plate and cover it loosely with a damp paper towel to prevent a soggy crust.
Microwave the pizza for 30 seconds or until it reaches your desired temperature levels and the cheese is bubbly hot.
If you want to avoid using a damp paper towel over your pizza, make use of another moisture source – a cup of water!
Put your pizza on a microwave-safe plate and place it in the microwave.
Then put a half-filled cup of water next to the plate of pizza.
Heat the pizza for about 30 seconds or until it crisps up the crust and makes the cheese gooey.
Serve hot!
Perhaps the most efficient way to reheat pizza when you have a lot of time on your hands - make your day-old dish crispy and gooey using an oven.
Preheat the oven to 190°C and then line a baking sheet with aluminium foil.
Once preheated, place the pizza on the sheet and pop it into the oven for 8-10 minutes. This would ensure your pizza crust is crispy and the cheese is super gooey.
Remove the pizza from the baking sheet carefully and serve hot!
Yes! You can easily reheat pizza in an air fryer and have it just as pipping hot and fresh as you bought it from the store. Depending on the power of your air fryer and how big the basket is, you may want to reheat the pizza in batches.
Preheat the air fryer to 190°C and place the pizza slices in a single layer in the basket.
Let the pizza slices heat for about 1 to 2 minutes. Baking time may vary depending on the intensity of your air fryer, but make sure not to reheat the pizza for more than a couple of minutes to get a crispy crust and gooey cheese.
Remove the pizza from the air fryer and serve hot!
